The Town Crier is reporting that the people of Baldur's Gate have started a petition to build a library in the city:

"I'm tired of people walking into my house uninvited and readin' meh books!"
-townsperson

"It's time Duke Eltan did something other than laying around in bed all day."
-townsperson

"Razamatazz stole a book from my youngin' and ran into his tower!"
-townsperson

"The people of Baldur's Gate want a place to go to read, and learn. A school/library would do wonders for the education of the city."
-townperson

"Churches n' bars churches n' bars. A kid aint gotta chance growing up in dis city!"
-townsperson

The fine citizens of Buldur's Gate lack to appreciate the silent reading rooms of the temple of Oghma, or the tomes of the remote monastery, or little utilised retort extension of the temple of Gond, where the avant garde discourses are stored. They are currently unavailable under the current prohibition by the post appointees Angelo and his firm hand Scar. Until the stifling hold on the city by the Flaming Fist can be lifted, access to these locals will be off limits.
