Is it going to be possible to import characters into BG2:EE from Black Pits' saved games?

I ask this because some months back, I tried to upload these characters in BG2, and it was a no-go.

    Really? I tried importing Black Pits characters into my GoG copy of BG2 shortly after the game came out and it seemed to work fine (although the experience cap from BP was functioning oddly in that the characters would be imported with their total earned experience over the cap). That could have changed at some point with an update though, I suppose.

    Oops...my bad...I did the same, and it worked...the issue I had, though, was with the character portraits from BGEE not sticking with the character when importing them into BG2.

    We're ignoring the most important issue though. If you import a character from the Black Pits to BG2:EE they won't have the golden pantaloons. Game Over man, Game Over.
