Are rules governing dual-classing hardcoded?

Could we modify the rules that allow only humans to dual class, such that all races could? Or is his a hardcoded limit? What would need to be modified, if this isn't a hardcoded limitation?

This is being externalized when the new patch comes out. BGTweaks is apparently all lined up to enable this when the patch comes out, or you can mod clsrcreq.2da yourself.

Will we be able to enable new kit class combos too?

No, kitting multiclass characters or allowing you to dual into kits is, according to the devs, deep, deep within the coding hedge maze, where none who venture in may ever return.

You will be able to open up any class to any race, to allow humans to multiclass and to allow non-humans to dual class, but you will not be able to enable a multiclass combination that didn't already exist, and you won't be able to kit where you could not kit before.

Can't you force any dual kitting combo through shadowkeeper originally?
  • You can change your kit around with 'Keeper, sure.
