firebead's quest - tetheril won't give scroll

In tutorial, Firebead sends me to talk to tetheril for a scroll. Tetheril says go see Gorion (or similar) several times (even if I talk to Gorion first (I've started the game over to try again) ) and then won't talk to me further. Won't give me the scroll. I'm 5 minutes into the game and turned off by a bug. :(

    ok nevermind. My misspelling of his name (I originally put "FirebeaRd" caused me to miss the plethora ("Si, El Guapo. I would say you have a plethora") of posts about this issue. Found the workaround (download of files to put in override folder) and am going to give it a shot.

    My apologies - I really did try to search for it first.

    Do what I did and just farm him for experience. Problem solved!

    This issue should be fixed in the patch we released yesterday.

    NOTE: Due to the way how BG:EE instantiates creatures, I assume it only works with a freshly (re)started game, right?
