Changing portrait background

Hey folks, I've got a portrait here that I cropped out of an image I found on the internet. However the whole picture is much too red - I'd like to change the background to something more neutral like what the standard BG portaits have, but sadly I don't have the knowledge or the software to do this... could someone help me out?

    @OperativeNL Best I can suggest is a crop with the lasso tool and then creating a new layer of whatever color in some image editing software. Or you would use the "paint bucket" to recolor the red parts of the background. However, Photoshop is, for me, much too expensive.

    If it's just the color, the easiest method is simply to use the replace color tool and then the history brush on the face so you won't even have to bother selecting anything. It literally takes 15 seconds.
