Anyone have any idea why my strength bonuses aren't applying?

I have a fighter w/18/90 strength using a weapon he's proficient in using.

I just noticed while fighting Karlat that the information window is not reflecting my strength bonus...

I just swung @ him & the info window showed: 16+0=16 Miss

Aren't I supposed to be getting something +2 to hit w/18/90 strength? I'd think it would reflect, '16+2=18'.

Or, am I missing something?

I'm playing Tutu w/the following mods:

HardTimes-v2;
BG1UB_v12; bg1npc-v20
level1npcs-v1.9
bg2_tweaks-v14
Randomizer-v68
scs-v21 (- Tactical Challenges)

Any thoughts from anyone. Right now I'm pretty bummed. CKT

    the armor he is wearing is giving you a penalty to hit, if im not mistaken, he is wearing chain mail, and if you use slashing weapons on him, you will have a -2 to hit penalty, all armors have armor modifiers where some weapons will have penalties to hit against them ( and some weapons will have a bonus to hit against them)

    Here are the AC modifiers of different armor types vs damage types:

    Leather armor: blunt 0/piercing +2/slashing 0
    Studded leather armor: blunt 0/piercing-1/slashing -2
    Chainmail: blunt +2/ piercing 0/slashing-2
    Scalemail: blunt -2/ piercing -1/slashing 0
    Plate armor: blunt 0/piercing 0/slashing -3
    Full plate armor: blunt 0/piercing -3/slashing -4

    also note that armor bonuses/penalties for missile weapons are the same as the piercing ones
