No Saves

So I realised I hadn't yet finished my BG:EE playthrough, and with the 2nd out so soon, thought I better get back on that. Was quite far in anyways.
Just updated to patch 1.2 though, and found out my saves are gone. Is it as a result of the new patch? Anyway to find them again?

Ah yes, used Shadowkeeper once to stop Dorn leaving (Made him good, wanted to see all the new chars in one playthrough)

Still sucks though.

Well I still had my old old save files from the regular Baldurs Gates. I had used the same setup, Conjurer mage. Imported an end-game character, does level 8 sound right for one of those? Can't remember.

If so I'll just use him in BG2 : EE, exactly the same really. Think I did all the extra content, and seen new dialogue. Was just in durlags tower, killing time before ending (Stopped main quest before the maze bit)
