Why was pausing in multiplayer games ruined?

I like to play multiplayer games when I want to make my own custom groups, but the timer added to pausing the game in multiplayer is making it incredibly frustrating to play.

    On the flip side, you could just drag the file to the SP folder and run it in single player, avoiding the issue.

    I agree, the timer just isn't working for me as it stands currently. Even when I play solo, I usually do it through multiplayer. However with how things are right now, I was forced to move my save so I can do it in the single player game. The biggest problem is that with certain settings for auto-pause, it is pausing more often than the timer allows. I was even having issues of the auto-pause simply not triggering, even though it should (most notably with auto-pause: enemy sighted).

    Oh cool, maybe this will also fix my invisible genie bug in multiplayer.
