(ToB spoilers) Small crash problem in Abazigal's lair

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Was just playing through said dungeon, and hired the other adventurers to get the beholder eye, but then it freezes. Does anyone else have the same problem?

    Seriously, this is important, I have tried three or four times, only to have it crash exactly the same way. Please, does anyone know of a way around this problem? I'll try doing the subquest directly, see if that helps...

    Is Hexxat in your party? I ran into the same trouble, and it turned out Hexxat was trying to initiate an event at the same time. Try resting before hiring the adventurers, that fixed it for me.

    It's cool, I just got the eyestalk myself, saved time.:D Thank you anyway.:)
    I didn't have Hexxat with me, I guess it would crash either way.:)
