TOB ENDING *spoilers probably*

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I'm playing a chaotic evil (chaotic neutral in SoA) character, and have defeated melissan several times. However, I only am getting the "good' and "mortal" endings. I have a high reputation, but I thought that reputation didn't affect it? I've given mean responses to the solar, but she seems to treat me as a neutral character. Anyone know what might be going on?

    How did you answer the questions from the Solar building up to the ending?
    If you gave good responses in the prior questions you may be locked in to your final.
    Just a guess...
