Silenced creatures

In BG2 when you silence an npc which is gonna talk to you and eventually attack you, it stays in one place and doesn't talk or attack. Such an example is Abazigal. If you manage to silence him, you can make a good deal of damage before he fights back. I think this is a bug that needs to be fixed.

CURRENT BEHAVIOUR: Silenced npcs(that will attack eventually) do nothing when silenced.

DESIRED BEHAVIOUR: Silenced npcs(that will attack eventually) attack when silenced.

To clarify, is this specifically related to silence, or is it the fake talk exploit?
