Problems with Multi-Class Character Traits

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
For some reason I have no access to my memorised spells nor any of my thieving skills and I am already at level 7 in both! Anyone know why?

    Are u wearing heavy armour?

    With the exception of Elven Chain-mail and robes, any torso armour will prevent spellcasting. Thief skills are disabled if u wear anything heavier than Studded Leather Armour.

    Also worth noting, thieving skills are sometimes "hidden" (depending on class or multi-class) behind the skills button on the right side of the bottom bar.
