[Bug] Mirror Image Incorrectly Bypassed by Poison (re: Poison Weapon)

Normal Behavior:
An attack against a target with Mirror Image that removes an image does no damage and does not apply associated effects (e.g. elemental damage).

PW Behavior:
The Poison Weapon ability poison's a target Mirror Image even if the attack otherwise does no damage on account of removing ("hitting") an image. (Conventional and other elemental damage is not done to target).

[Presumably the ability detects a "hit" (against a duplicate) and then erroneously applies the poison damage to original target.]

Tested Using:
An assassin->mage dual attacking mage characters in Candlekeep.
Note: MMMs [correctly] does NOT apply fire damage when attacks misses due to hitting Mirror Image duplicate.

Unknown:
I have not compared the poison effect to other 'on hit' effects (e.g. death from vorpal sword, stun from celestial fury, poison from dagger of venom, etc.) when used against a target with Mirror Image up.

Version:
This was true for an up-to-date version of BG:EE (v1.20)
(It presumably applies to BG2:EE as well)
(BG:EE has SCS)

Additional Note:
Poison damage also bypasses Stoneskin. I assume that this is intended behavior however as other elemental damage (e.g. fire damage from MMMs) also bypasses stoneskin.
