Has anyone ever done some custom voice work for baldurs gate 1&2?

i've always wondered about that... i see so many people making custom portraits but i don't think i've ever seen custom voice acting for the main character or others. Is it because nobody does it? Is it not possible to do it? I do a little bit of voice acting in my spare time and i would love to make some custom voice sets for my main character... though i have no idea how :( also i would love to take some dota 2 voice bits and use them as a voice set for baldurs gate 1&2. :)

I have actually made a voice set using my own voice. The quality is decent enough (I have a great headset!) though I'm sure it's hardly on the level of a professional. It's easy enough to do if you have a microphone and some recording software. You just name the files appropriately and dump them in the installation folder\Data\00766\lang\en_US\sounds directory. As for how to name the voice set:

    XXXXXXXa.wav : Battle Cry
    XXXXXXXb.wav : Becoming Leader
    XXXXXXXc.wav : Tired
    XXXXXXXd.wav : Bored
    XXXXXXXe.wav : Badly Wounded
    XXXXXXXf.wav : Selected 1
    XXXXXXXg.wav : Selected 2
    XXXXXXXh.wav : Selected 3
    XXXXXXXi.wav : Action Acknowledgement 1
    XXXXXXXj.wav : Action Acknowledgement 2
    XXXXXXXk.wav : Action Acknowledgement 3
    XXXXXXXl.wav : Being Hit
    XXXXXXXm.wav : Dying
    XXXXXXXn.wav : In Forest
    XXXXXXXo.wav : In City
    XXXXXXXp.wav : In Dungeon
    XXXXXXXq.wav : Daytime
    XXXXXXXr.wav : Nighttime
    XXXXXXXs.wav : Action Acknowledgement 4
    XXXXXXXt.wav : Action Acknowledgement 5
    XXXXXXXu.wav : Action Acknowledgement 6
    XXXXXXXv.wav : Action Acknowledgement 7
XXXXXXXw.wav : Reaction to Party Member Death
    XXXXXXXx.wav : Rare Select 1
    XXXXXXXy.wav : Rare Select 2
    XXXXXXXz.wav : Critical Hit Given
    XXXXXXX1.wav : Critical Miss
    XXXXXXX2.wav : Target Immune
    XXXXXXX3.wav : Inventory Full
    XXXXXXX4.wav : Successfully Picked A Pocket
XXXXXXX5.wav : Successfully Hid In shadows
    XXXXXXX6.wav : Spell Disrupted
    XXXXXXX7.wav : Set A Trap
    XXXXXXX8.wav : Battle Cry 2
    XXXXXXX9.wav : Battle Cry 3
    XXXXXXX0.wav : Selected 6
    XXXXXXX_.wav : Action Acknowledgement 8

Note that custom soundsets only work in BGII:EE atm; you have to name the set "Custom#" for the first game. Don't remember quite how many you can make with that naming convention though.

There are some people who had a go at it and posted voice sets in the mod forums.

@Korlamaq Audacity is a decent, free software for manipulating sound files.

Well replace the # with whatever number. First game only supports so many of them, think it was... 5? Anyway that is supposedly going to be patched.
