I need help playing icewind dale 2

Hey guys was hoping for some friendly help. I just got my order from amazon and am now "attempting" to play icewind dale 2 but for some reason whenever I access my inventory or anything that shows the..."big globe appearance whatever or the miniature appearance pic" the game crashes.

I'm hoping to find someone whom has experienced this problem and has a solution please post below. Waukeen shall favor your fortune in bg;ee if you do. :)

    I had a similar problem some time ago and I think you have to google up the Icewind dale 2 patch that fixes that particular issue as well as other bugs. I believe its patch 2.01 you'll need.

    I just did and it works now! For anyone who has the same problem here is the link to download the patch. Enjoy playing icewind dale! :)
