Neera's quest in TOB *spoilers*

Question: what is supposed to happen if you refuse to be Sun Tzam's pawn and you fight him instead of agreeing to go after Vicross?

I win the fight with him and get transported back to the ambush site, but Neera doesn't say anything or even comment on the situation. It wouldn't make sense for her questline to end so abruptly, so, something is probably supposed to happen, right? Some dialogue perhaps? Has anyone gone this route?

    I think you are not supposed to try and beat him. But if you do and win (easy with the cloack from sahuaguin city, I guess very tough without it) then Neera's quest ends. I mean, honestly, who in Thay will have the guts to go after the girl that defeated their most powerful wizard?

    I won a fight against him, the code from the BCS file is very good and he killed Neera permanently the first time, so I reloaded.
    This is a complete spoiler, don't read it if you haven't played all of Neera's content in ToB.
