Enhanced Edition vs. BGT

I did a search and saw posts from 1-2 years ago, with more mods available now for EE how do the two stack up?

I am currently running BGT on my MacbookPro via Wineskin using GOG Windows versions of the two games. I also have Windows and Mac boxed versions of both sagas. The one glitch I have with Wineskin is after awhile my the FPS drops as my laptop heats up and fans come on full blast, but I have all kinds of mods.

Here are the mods I run. ** for my favorites, * ones I really like. I could probably do without the others, except for the tweaks and fixes (though I assume those are part off EE?). Which ones will work on EE?

BGT
**SCS/SCSII
**LVL1 NPCs
**1PP
Ascension
*Amber
*Angelo
Banter Pack
**BG1NPC
BG1NPC Music
BG1UB
BG2Tweaks
BG2 Bigger Fonts
BG2Fixpack
BGTtweak
BGT Big World Map
**Divine Remix
*Fade
Gavin
Indira
*Kelsey
Keto
MapNames
NPCtweak
Oversight
Refinements
**Rogue Rebalancing
*Song and Silence
Tashia
Turnabout
Unfinished Business
Valen
W GUI
**Widescreen

I am getting a new rMBP and after my current through will be trying to figure what to install. Current BGT or buy the EE editions . . .

Welllll... that is a lot of mods! :D I know for a fact SCS is working fine because I'm using it myself. As well as the tweak packs. BG1NPC's is currently being converted, I believe it's in beta at the moment. I have a copy from this forum but haven't installed it yet. :)

Tashia works fine as I have her as does the Rogue Rebalancing, also one of my favs.
Fade, Gavin, Indira, Kelsey and Keto I'm not sure about as I don't use them. They may well be updated in the future however.

This is a rather handy resource

There are others as well I shall attempt to dig up after work tonight if you'd like or other more helpful posters don't beat me to it! :D

For me, the enhanced editions are well worth the money and the wait for mods to be updated and converted. It runs beautifully on my Win8 laptop without any major issues. The native widescreen is beautiful the font sizes are great for me. It was a no brainer at least for me as the originals barely worked on Win8 for me and when they did they were stuttery and unstable. They have done a bloody good job so far, granted there have been bugs and flaws as with any project but they are being addressed and a lot have been stomped already.

If you are running the BG2 engine with Wineskin on Mac, I'd recommend getting the EEs if you like playing at max frame rate for a long period of time. I have the same problem in my late 2007 macbook, the game only runs at 25 FPS :/ but I know that the mods are worth it. You can always have both installs (even if you have a 60 GB HD like me).
