Possible to stop Dorn leaving?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
So, since I'm playing a good PC I haven't let Dorn go ahead with his quest yet, and I've hit a point where he's basically said "Time's up, we do it now or bugger off".
One dialogue option means he drops party but stays on the map, and I can re-invite him, but he immediately leaves again.

Is there any way around this or will I need to make the decision to slaughter Paladins or play without Dorn?

    You will need to make the decision to slaughter Paladins after all sorry to say it but do not worry it will be like it was their fault.

    @adormitul, I do not think that completing Dorn's quest could possibly be justified by any *good* character.

    Well... I did the first bit. I walked in, got attacked by a bunch of guys so I reloaded, then taunted the priest, him & Dorn had a duel, Dorn won, I told him to let the wedding party go..
    And that was it (so far), no rep loss or anything of the like.
