Experience Problem

Hey all, I've played Icewind, and am now on BG I. I've returned to Candlekeep and noticed that my characters' experience scores are frozen. I play and kill, and nobody gets more experience. They've topped out at 8900. Is this the cap, and if not how can I fix it.

    The original BG1 without the expansion has an experience cap of 89k XP. Also, if a character has two or more classes, the total can't be more than that.

    Ah, thanks. So I've reached the limit in the version I have. This was a gift, and they bought the original version, not the expanded version. Is there a way around this, or do I just live with it?

    There is a simple XP cap remover in a thread strangely enough entitled 'A simple XP cap remover' (iirc)! A quick search should find it.
