Weird graphical glitch in menu before game even starts

in BGII:EE Bugs (v1.2.2030)
I'm on Windows 7 on a laptop. I start up BG2EE and it works perfectly until I try to go into either the new game menu or the options menu to change graphics. Then it gets a weird graphical glitch and crashes. http://imgur.com/a/XMVen It looks like that. It happens in full screen and windowed. I don't have a crash folder or dump file or anything like that. I tried reinstalling it.

    Try updating your graphic card drivers' whatever. I'm not very fond of Windows as you can see (even if my room has a 1,5*2 meters big window that faces the garden :p).

    Also please post your computer's specs, so @Troodon80‌ or @Gate70‌ can get an idea of what's going on (so they can help you) with your graphics card.
