Experience cap question

I am playing the original 1999 BG:TotSC, with no mods (because my computer always spazzes out when I install mods). I have always soloed BG, but now I am deciding to play with a party of 3 or 4 NPCs.

The experience cap is at 161,000 exp. So if I have a party of 5 single-class people, does this mean that each person will only be able to reach 32,200 exp? Or will each individual be able to accumulate 161,000 exp?
