    Just because my dad insist rock isn't the right music to hear while studying, so… no rock before the exam.

    It's funny that you listed "Let It Go" in accordance with an exam. There's actually a parody of Let It Go on youtube somewhere called "F**k it All - Honest Finals Version," where the singer literally just stops caring about exams.

    Nowadays I'm the teacher rather than the student, and back in the day I didn't really care much for grades, much like most continental European students I knew, and @Nonnahswriter. :) (I think there is or at least used to be less of a fixation on grades in continental Europe than in the Americas.)
    Nevertheless, I did sometimes feel a need for music: pre-'battle' I would have the likes of Beastie Boys, Prodigy, Guns n' Roses, Wu-Tang Clan and Rage against the Machine rally me:

    Ive just finished my first part of school yesterday and teacher gave me this note:

    "You always give 100% at school.

    Monday 17%
    Tuesday 23%
    Wednesday 38%
    Thursday 17%
    Friday 5%
