Elf bonuses question:

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
In the original BG, elves got +1 to hit with any sword.

In PnP AD&D, elves got +1 to hit with long and short swords.

The description in BGEE matches the PnP AD&D description, but what is it (really)?

    The BG:EE description is accurate.

    Yeah in the initial versions of the game elves get +1 to hit with any sword. (Bastard, two hander, even scimitar or katana maybe) Bg:ee has long fixed it with a patch.
