NPC mods

Hey all, I was trying to install some NPC mods for a little extra choice for any future playthroughs, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to add mods. I know there's a tutorial here but I need a really simple version lol, I've never modded a game before. Can anyone give me a simplified set of instructions? Or lead me in the right direction at least.

    Generally mods are installed like this.
    Installation:
    - Extract the archive into your game folder.
    - Run setup.exe.
    - Install (I) components that you want to use.
    - Run the game.

    If your stuck there should be a readme, try and brake it down into steeps you can easily follow, like the ones I listed. If your still stuck, go to the mods site you downloaded it from and post asking for help installing it.
