Quick, character creation tips (very mild, generic spoilers):

Hey guys, with this recent release, we've seen countless "rate my party" threads, and we are bound to see many more.

Here are a couple of quick tips for those who haven't played this game yet:

Take a Bard. They are that good.

Take a Druid. They are also really good.

Take a Paladin proficient in Long Sword.

Do not make a single classed Mage. There aren't enough scrolls and you'll be frustrated.

Do not make a single classed Thief.

There are tons of undead in this game. It's worth having blunt weapon proficiencies on many.

This is very true. May come as a shock to people used to playing BG2, but scrolls are quite rare in IWD and you may find yourself without ANY spells on a given spell level for quite a while...

This is why I'm dying to try a sorcerer.

Without opening a new tread what do you think about this setup for HoF difficulty

Undead Hunter (long sword/one weapon style)
    Totemic Druid (spear/scimitar)
    Archer (long bow/crossbow)
Beserker 7° dual class Cleric (dual wield flail/warhammer/morningstar)
Swashbuckler 11° dual class Fighter (dual wield long/short sword)
Dragon Disciple or Sorcerer (dagger and dart)

    4 melee, 2 ranged and 2 healer

Edit: i'm not o sure about the pure Druid, in BG2EE i used a Fighter 7° dual class Druid. It's much better at damage but doing so i loose the summoning and the healer since i reach druid 8 and cleric 8

Not bad, Vesimas, but you'll probably get more responses by starting your own thread bud.
