Bug or not ? Skipping chapter 5

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
At the Wyrm's Tooth, just at the beginning of chapter 5, I took my way to the north east exit on the Museum map, leading to a transition area (AR7000). The entrance at the top of the map is blocked and the one on the right is not. If I go inside this cave, I access Lower Dorn's Deep and Chapter 6 is starting without having to do Chapter 5.

According to this website http://www.gamebanshee.com/icewinddale/walkthrough/transitionarea.php you need Joril's Badge to access the Lower Dorn's Deep.

I don't remember if the original game was like that so, is it a bug or not ?

    You never needed Joril's badge to access Lower Dorn's Deep. It's just advisable that you get it before because you'll need it later.

    I remember skipping chapter 5 when I played the game back in the day. I nearly flipped a table when i couldn't find the last badge. -_-
