game over at balduran island

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
hi guy´s
this is my first post here.
sry if its in the wrong section, just move it :-)

now my question.
i´ve just brougt the maps back to mendas and i´m ready to sail to baldurans isle.
as soon as i arrive at the isle my complete party is wiped out.
can´t do anything.
i get the flavor text/movie and as i arrive on the island just 1-2seconds after that my party is killed.

    nope didn´t find lothandars quest, so far,
    managed to move around him /somehow/ ???.
    so noone told me about the geas/poison. ;-)

    Attach a save game from before your departure to the island so someone can take a look at it.

    thank for the offer,
    but i solved marek´s side-quest with the antipoison, now it works.
    i´m just confused how this happend, because no one told me that my party is poisoned

    You likely got poisoned yet didn't meet up with Lothander at the carnival afterwards. That's where you get told you've been poisoned, however if you miss that encounter you can't find out any other way (except for dying).
