in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Does anyone know whether or not the original game will work with Windows 7 ?

    Indeed it does. My old copy installed without any fuss.

    Another question concerning the "Original Version" - can you play "Multi-Player" with people who have the BG2:EE version??

    It runs on W7 (I have used it on a W7 SP1 64 bits with no issues).
    You may need to refresh the earlier directX versions, see the "earlier versions of directX" paragraph : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113

    I just ordered the Original Version (my old one had a scratched disc that would not load) from Amazon - will see how it plays.

    Bg2:ee is quite a bit different engine-wise, more polished and advanced when compared to the original. I assume, logically, original bg2 can not multiplayer with someone who is on bg2:ee, the game engines and such are way too different.

    thats a shame. but maybe there are some who still play the original version. since I have the enhanced verson - I can play with both.
