Hey! Yes there is. I personally use 'IFunbox' (just google it, i don't wanne seem like i want to promote any site) The app allows you to access you files on the tablets as you're used to from a USB device. I'd also advice to have BG installed on the machine you're trying to import it to.
You can also create a portraits folder there inside app.folder to put custom portraits to Ipad. Also do some limited modding on Ipad. All without a jailbreak, thanks to ifunbox program.
