Moving my Baldur's Gate save to another PC?

I'm reinstalling Windows as part of some hardware upgrades and I want to keep my Baldur's Gate save, preferably with my custom portrait intact. How would I best go about this?

    Back up your Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\save folder and your custom portrait. Also grab the bpsave folder if you want to keep Black Pits saves and mpsave if you want to keep multiplayer saves. If you have exported characters, back up the characters folder.

    After you reinstall the game, put these files back where they were. (If your game is modded, reinstall your mods first.)
