Do I need to be online for single player?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
topic pretty much explains it. Do I have to be online to play the single player game? This could be a make/break feature for me. Most of the time i will be playing, I won't have online capabilities.

    No, thankfully not.

    You register it once and you're done. Pretty much like logging on Steam or GoG to download a game you bought.

    This isn't Blizzard or EA or Activision (thank goodness).
