They just won't die!

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
HALP! I'm currently in the process of clearing the Trial of the Luremaster content, and I'm having trouble killing Revenants. I don't remember having this much trouble in the original game. Did I just forget how to kill them or are they bugged?

    Use fire or acid (I can't remember if they both work), but remember that fire arrows allow a saving throw to avoid fire elemental damage, so try with spells or potions.

    I think they fall unconscious a bit faster in the original. Same issue with Trolls, they used to go down when they were "near death", but now they keep attacking (there is some kind of delay) before they fall...

    I think if you attack creatures to quickly that are supposed to fall down and use fire or acid on them to kill them, they will continue to attack you because the barrage of attacks hitting them is conflicting with their "going unconscious" animation
