Unable to initiate dialogue with main character

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hi there,

I am no longer able to initiate dialogue with my main character and can't fix it. Can you please advise?

    He has been silenced. You can dispel it or wait for the effect to wear off.

    Remove Magic, Dispel Magic, and resting for 3 days straight are all NOT removing this silence. Is there a special spell for it?

    Nevermind. I fixed it with a Remove Curse spell! :smile:

    I never knew that "Deck" can permanently shut someone up. I guess I will try it on Jan next time :smile:
