I can has retina resolution?

Apple has doubled the maximum app size. I remember the devs saying that the iPad version could not benefit from its resolution because of the size limit, so now that the limit has changed, are we to expect a graphical update?

    Graphics Options, turn off Scale UI
    edit: NOT recommended for iPad Mini: UI elements get too small to be able to switch back
