State of the game after 1.3 patch? Bugs?

I've been wanting to pick up BG2EE for a while now. GOG is running a sale on all the EEs but reviews of BG2 mention lots of bugs. They're all dated 10/2014, which is before the 1.3 patch. Now that the patch is live, what's the state of the game? Is it still really buggy? Thanks!

There are still a few bugs but nothing major. It's very playable, at least in my humble opinion. /J

the turn undead bug bothers me a lot.

Its certainly quite a bit better but it really needs another solid patch. That said there are a few bugs you should be on the lookout for. You can see a listing of current bugs in the game here.

Well, there is the horrendous attacks per round bug, but it is fixable with reloading.

Good npcs turning undead also scares off paladins. That may be a bit more problematic depending on your party set up.

As @elminster says it needs a new patch, sure, but the engine has been polished in v1.3 and is worth it. There are many new options doable in Baldur.ini as well.

Anyways if you are looking at buying it on GoG.com right now I'd do it despite the issues the game currently has. For $10 its still very good value and runs pretty well.

All I've seen is the saemon haverian bug in Brynlaw. I still have trouble getting to the shark city.

$10 for this is a steal. Especially considering the sheer scope of content you are getting. Plus the game has great replayability.
