who is the best character in BG1 to use?

    Tiax is clearly the most powerful character in the game. His stats will leave you breathless.

    Biff the Understudy, though you can only get him via cheats. He can literally do and be *anything*.

    The most powerful NPC in the game is probably Coran or Shar-teel.

    Xan makes a pretty decent paper-weight. And Khalid has saved me countless headaches by walking down trapped hallways ahead of me. :)

    Dollars to donuts, I always feel bad leaving Edwin behind. Those extra spells he gets are really nice to have.
