Cannot start game with imported character, please help!

Ok. I read the guides and went through the simple process of:

1) Copying the Final Save folder into BG II:EE folder (Saves\ folder)

2) Copied portraits

3) Started game to import

4) Opened Final Save and double-clicked MAINCHAR

5) Confirmed colors, voice and name

The box just under the portrait is blacked out, which (I think) is the start button. I only have options to IMPORT, EXPORT or START OVER, none of which start the game with my BG:EE hero.

    Can you post a screenshot and attach a zip file containing your final save that you're trying to import?

    @Dee - I would, but dumb me figured it out. I had to EXPORT at the very end and enter a name. It worked. Seemed like my monk AC dropped big time after, but I'm not sure what happened there. I'll take better AC, though!
