character portraits

not sure if this is the right place to post it, but i know the people who frequent here can answer this question. How do i change the npc portraits in BG2? Also, how do i add pc portraits? Sorry if this is an overly simple question, but i haven't been able to figure it out yet.

    Assuming you have portraits of the correct size and bit depth, you need to name them correctly depending on the NPC you want to replace, and put them in your override folder. See http://portraits.chosenofmystra.net/npc_portrait_change.html for a list of what you should name them.

    For the PC, add them to the portraits folder instead.

    @shin thank you much for the info and the link, the override folder is awesome because i can delete out my changes later if i decide.
