in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
so i am playing a true neutral elf fighter and picking up evil characters and i have come across an entirely new character named Dorn is he any good?

    If you're into evil characters then he'll fit right in.

    He's probably the most obviously evil of the evil characters. In BG1 it makes sense for a neutral to take him along because it doesn't show that much, but in BG2 you will be required to do some very evil quests with him.

    plus dorn's quest will get you some really good items along the way
