Font and play size of game

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Is there a way to change the font and the playable area size in the game? It seems like everything just got shrunken and hard to read/distinguish. I haven't found any way to do this thus far.

    Is the setting "Scale User Interface" checked in your graphics options? There should also be a font size slider there you can play with.

    Yes, it was checked. The font slider was also maxed out. It is as if you perspective in the game was just jacked up a few miles in the air. Or maybe I am just old. I don't know, but thanks for the reply!

    You can zoom closer with your mousewheel or the '+' key.
