Any way to manually install the archer as fighter kit?

I've never played with mods before, and I'm running Linux. I came across the Archer as a fighter kit option from the tactics mod, and want to install it, but Weidu is looking like a pretty dodgy option, with having to futz about with the casing of filenames left and right. Obviously I can't use the .exe for file for the tactics mod without jumping through a bunch of hoops. All I actually want is the archer as a fighter kit, I don't care about the rest of tactics. This might all be moot, since another question is, can this mod even run on bgee, since it looks like it was just for bg2?
