Movie cinematics gone in BG:EE?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
In several occasions there should be a movie, e.g. entering the Duchal Palace etc. Why have the creators of the enhanced edition taken those videos away? :)

    As I recall they didnt take it away on purpose. The original models from Bioware were/are lost, so they couldnt use them again.

    BG:EE replaced the original movies with new movies done in a completely different style. Due to resource constraints, not all the movies were remade, and the ones that weren't got cut.

    If you want to restore those videos, there's a mod for that here.
