Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
It seems in NOVICE difficulty that whenever a party member hits a monster, they automatically deal maximum damage. Has anyone else noticed this?

I may be wrong here but it appears to only apply to weapons you are proficient with.

Novice difficulty also gives your characters a +6 luck bonus, so yes, a 1-6 damage roll will always deal 6 damage.
But a Two-Handed Sword (1-10) will deal 7-10 damage.

How did you find out about the luck bonus? It isn't listed under the difficulty slider. Is there a way to change the luck bonus? I like the game to be a little less difficult than normal, but more difficult than novice.

I recommend you stick with normal. You will learn the game soon enough and will be looking for extra challenge.

I learned about it on these forums and I tested it.
Plus you will see that you will fail very few saving throws.
