BG:EE Voice sets for BG2:EE

Awhile ago (maybe a year ago?) I started BG2:EE to find out that the new voice sets from the first game were not in this one. I checked the forums to see what was up with that and stumbled onto a thread about someone asking basically the question I wanted to know. I remember seeing someone answer that they were working on getting those sets (or expanding on them since the second game has a lot more lines) into BG2:EE.
I wanted to know what the status on that is or if that has been shelved or something.

Edit: Or maybe I have the wrong idea completely. I was just wondering since I was starting a new play through of BG1 and wanted to know if I should bother even using FEMALE 5. I'm kind of a stickler for consistence...
