Spell Casting Graphics

Ever since I downloaded the patch, I can no longer see magic spell effects while the caster is actually casting the spell. Once the spell goes off, I can see the effects. Anyone else having this issue?

    I used to have the same problem in bg:ee 2.0 beta. No casting glows (that is the correct term, I think)

    In bg2:e beta and SoD, I don't have this problem anymore.
    Do you have any mods, that change the casting glows (like iwd casting graphics tweak?) remove cgabjura, cgaltera, ie files for each school of spell from your override folder. I used to have mods on my bg1 beta and it was buggy, now I don't have any mods and they show up.

    Sometimes the position is wrong aswell since 2.0. It just clips inside the caster. It happens everytime for the anti-chickenator
