bug report spell effect failure and involuntary difficulty switching

Hi guys
I just encountered 2 bugs. First i can cast spells on charname, but they dont take effect. For exempal i cast stoneskin or mirror images, the spell is cast but won't affect my charname (same goes for haste btw). On the other hand if i cast haste with charname the rest of the party is affected... Charname is a character i just imported from the end of bg ee... The most bizzare thing is that the spells worked for a while and then it stopped working all of a sudden...
Second problem is that the difficultis switch without me wanting it (i started the game in legacy of bhaal and now its just on impossible).
Has anyone encountered the same problems? If yes do you have a possible solution? Thanks for letting me know. I hope they patch this soon
