Multiplayer IP Issue: PLEASE HELP!

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
I am having an issue where the game is constantly asking for my IP address when I open up the multiplayer tab. I have tried typing in my IP address and nothing happens....No one can join my game nor can I join anyone elses game. why is the game not recognizing my IP? PLEASE HELP!!

    i can cancel and see games, but when i try to join it asks for an IP again...

    and when my friend trys to join it just says failed to join game.

    any ideas?
