There's a rumour going round that you are actually a real live person irl. We've never met, never interacted, but it seems you must be going through a lot of stress right now so I wanted to lend my support. People you don't know are being really mean, and you don't deserve such poor treatment. You are taking a lot of the brunt of this Irony Crisis, so I hope your team and company is standing behind you. Sometimes other people find words for what I've been thinking but not posting: these last few days must have been hard on the team and especially @Amber_Scott. I thank @FinnTheHuman for creating this topic and hope everything's well with you Amber. And like tilly says: you're up for the next game (be it a BG game or another D&D game that Beamdog makes)!

Also throwing my support your way @Amber_Scott as well as all of the Beamdog crew. SoD was incredible, and I only hope that all of this overblown, fabricated controversy eventually serves to make a point about what kind of people these hecklers really are. Let them all disavow Baldur's Gate and Beamdog, because you guys don't deserve to have to stoop low enough to beg for their support. There are far more good people that you support than weirdos who just want to fan the flames.

I know I'd rather be sipping margaritas in a tropical paradise than deal with all the hate.

I don't really care for tequila, but I did enjoy a few cervezas while I was away. Thank you so much for all the lovely messages here. I've had a lot of support both from Beamdog and my colleagues which has made the storm much easier to weather. I'm happy to be back at work on the Next Big Thing (TM).
