Class name change

IglosnofIglosnof Member Posts: 119
Hello everyone!

I would like to play a Bounty Hunter main character in Bg1 EE since the kit looks awesome. However I don't really want to be called a bounty hunter because I wouldn't really be a bounty hunter but a trap specialist. Is there an easy way to rename the kit on my character info screen? Or can I remove it so it just says thief?

Thanks :)

You need to edit the dialog.tlk file itself. And need to search the class name reference entry from the .2da files. Near infinity is a great tool for this.

To add to this, you would need to edit both NAME1 and NAME2 for the kit. If you don't, then all references to the kit will either be your new kit or the old bounty hunter kit.

Yep, there is. You can change the string reference to the class via Keeper or Near Infinity without problem by simply adding an effect, no need to touch the dialog.tlk

Edit: just drop me your save/character and I'll modify it ;)
