Any help would be appreciated...

So a few months back i bought Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition on steam, Since then i've had to play it in windowed mode to prevent the most of the lag. but playing it in windowed is really annoying. ive already set all the graphics settings down but it still lags alot. and ive tried updating my drivers but it wont let me. So can anyone tell how to fix this? here are my system specs

Looks like there are some newer drivers for your video card.

Hmm, sorry about that, I was hopeful. I didn't really see anything else obvious in the dxdiag output. If you look at the monitor advanced properties, what is the color level set to? 16 bit color, 24 bit, or 32 bit?

Sorry, running low in the idea bin. Maybe edit the baldur.ini file and disable some things that don't have GUI options? Copy it first for a clean backup. These are settings which look like they might have an effect, although it is possible some effects might be negative. These are the defaults to the best of my knowledge except for the disable cosmetic attacks. I always do that because I want them to act only when they are supposed to be. I hate it when they are swinging away and I don't see a to hit roll being made.

'Program Options', 'Disable Cosmetic Attacks', '0',
    'Program Options', '3D Acceleration', '1',
'Program Options', 'Maximum Frame Rate', '30',
    'Program Options', 'Translucent Shadows', '1',
    'Game Options', 'Environmental Audio', '1',
'Game Options', 'Tiles Precache Percent', '100',

Do you play other games on the same computer, and how do they perform?

Sorry for not responding sooner. Are you still having issues getting the game to run without lag?
